In Memory of a Friend
Racquetball lost a great friend on Sunday, Aug. 26th. For those of you who played Leagues at Healthworks you?ll know the name of Jim Carabetta. If you don?t play the leagues and just play racquetball, you?ll know him just as well. Jim was the kind of guy that always had a smile on his face and great words of encouragement. A die hard Yankees fan and a great friend to junior racquetball. Regardless of whether or not he was playing in a tournament at the club he would always stop to watch the juniors play and then come to the tournament desk and say, ?I love watching the kids. Here?s a do-nation.? His last act on Sunday before leaving the club was to donate two more racquets to the Junior Program. ?Hey Toni Lee...do me a favor call Jules and let her know I?ve left these for the Junior Program.? To the end he was always thinking about what he could do to help others. Less than 2 hours later he was gone.
